Needs Statement

Updates in guidelines is needed to be communicated to clinicians and other health care providers who take care of patients with Asthma in order to be most updated with the latest evidence in patient care and prescribing.

 

Target Audience

All Atrius Primary Care Clinicians

Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the elements necessary for diagnosis and assessment of asthma based on recommendations in the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) 2017;
  • List techniques for improving treatment and minimizing risk factors for exacerbations;
  • Consider options for pharmacologic approach to treatment of asthma; and
  • Distinguish differences in X-ray presentation.
