Overview

The overall goal of this conference is to share practical system improvements to keep the obstetrical team away from the courtroom - on the labor and delivery floor - and to enhance the joy of obstetrical practice.

73.6% of OB/GYNs have one professional liability claim filed against them in their careers, with an average of 2.59 claims per OB/GYN. Of these, 41% had at least one professional claim while still in residency training. 3.9% of obstetricians stopped performing deliveries because of insurance affordability or availability. (ACOG)
