This is the same workshop (with some revisions) that was offered over 30 times last Spring throughout the state! This workshop includes a two hour administrative overview of the SBIRT mandated screening program, and a four hour introduction to the CRAFFT II screening tool and Motivational Interviewing skills for use as the Brief Intervention. This workshop is for those school districts that did not yet attend the Introduction to SBIRT provided last Spring. These workshops will be held in various locations across the state. Registration for these workshops will be available through the SHIELD-BU website at http://shield-bu.org.

NOTE: There are two sessions offered

  1. Introductory Session (8:30AM-11:30AM): All members of the school district's SBIRT team (administrators, screening team members, and others interested in learning about SBIRT)
  2. Full Session (8:30AM-3PM): School staff who will be engaged in screening students using the SBIRT tools (required for planning grant recipients)
