Objectives

After participating in this workshop learners will have an: 

  • Increased ability to recognize violence and abuse across the lifespan, even absent indicators;
  • increased ability to recognize and redress barriers to leaving an abuse dynamic;
  • increased ability to build an architecture for universal education,
  • increased ability to recognize the overlap between different forms of abuse in a family system,
  • increased ability to document so as to decrease sanctuary harm and increase survivor safety,
  • increased ability to intervene appropriately,
  • increased ability to incorporate an understanding of historical and other forms of trauma into daily practice, and
  • increased ability to engage in self-care practices on an individual level
