Direct Accreditation:

Boston University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Boston University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

The application to award contact hours has been submitted to ANA Massachusetts. ANA Massachusetts is accredited as an approver of nursing continuing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Objectives

  1. Provide an environment in which the psychological and spiritual effects of responding to cardiac arrest events can be acknowledged and discussed by team.
  2. Share the emotionally positive effects on family and team of offering family members choice on whether or not to view resuscitative efforts on their loved one.
  3. Increase awareness of range of impacts on clinicians with longitudinal relationships with patient and/or family.
  4. Identify helpful personal, supervisory, interprofessional and team strategies to maximize support for diverse impacted staff.

 

Target Audience

Providers, Residents, Students and Staff.  We have a multidisciplinary focus and  participants includes providers from Community Health Centers, Community, Hospital and Department Faculty.
